Our Vision
W.C. Carle High School is a two-time California Model Continuation High School and it is WASC accredited. There are approximately 90 plus students enrolled at any time and there is a staff of 5 full-time teachers. The vast majority of the students are in the 11th and 12th grades and we graduate over 30 students a year. All of the a-g requirements for the University of California are available through the school or the local junior college. Over 90% of our graduates move on to junior colleges, trade schools, the military and/or employment. There are three career paths offered that allow students to receive certificates leading to entry level employment. In addition, 2 businesses are operating out of the school. One business makes promotional products for businesses; the other is a video business.

Our Expected School Wide Learning Results are:
Carle students will:

Demonstrate that they are effective communicators by producing verbal, written, artistic, mathematical, and technological forms of communication.

Show social and civic responsibility by taking the initiative for improving the quality of life for self and others through performing community service projects, participating in civics discussions and keeping a civics notebook, reading about and discussing current events, and being informed of their rights and duties as a citizen.

Show that they are problem solvers by independently and collaboratively solving complex problems through essays, notebooks, research papers, lab investigations, algebra problems, and artistic and technological productions.

Demonstrate that they are accessors and assessors of information by using technological, verbal, and written information to attain broader knowledge and produce research papers, essays, oral reports, algebra notebooks, and artistic and technological presentations incorporating that knowledge.
